Meet Peter Jones
Peter Jones is an artist based in Portobello, Edinburgh’s seaside. His work focuses on buildings and place and has been published in a series of small books celebrating the buildings of Kirkcudbright, Portobello, Falkland in Fife, Craigmillar & Niddrie, and St Andrews. His paintings are characterised by quirky lines and fresh watercolour washes, spontaneously drawn and painted with the subject in front of him.
Peter regularly takes on house portrait commissions, both in Scotland and beyond, while his illustrations for magazines make for strong visual features in print.
As a teacher, Peter believes that drawing and painting is for everyone and
he has delivered workshops to groups of all ages, taking participants outdoors whenever possible, and always keeping things relaxed and positive with his calm and thoughtful approach.
This Fine Art Print Shop captures the collections that have been produced over recent years, with a particular focus on St Andrews, with its historic townscape, university, and of course the home of golf.
